Welcome to the Forest/Wood Industry
Educator Community -- a centralized communication medium for
educators interested in the Forest/Wood Industry.
Teach
Access tools to assist you in
developing/delivering programs that will prepare high-school
students for entry-level careers and postsecondary programs in the
Forest/Wood Industry. Access over one hundred teacher planning
guides to assist in developing flexible three-year lesson plans
full of active learning. The program's clustered approach is
ideal for high schools with programs in Technology Education and/or
Agriculture and in Career and Technical Schools.
High-school curriculum developers/administrators will find scope
and sequences of competencies with crosswalks to national
academic and workplace standards. Information and links are
provided to sites that provide teaching resources for all
levels.
Share
Educators can share resources and materials
that they have found successful in teaching the competencies in the
program. Contact schools currently developing programs that
prepare students for the Forest/Wood Industry.

Ask the "experts" and fellow educators
questions about the units as well as situations that arise when
using the materials or developing programs. Find out about
inservice opportunities related to the Forest/Wood Industry and
the real-world experiences of schools that are implementing
